Borehole water treatment for Davao City, Philippines to increase freh water availability
EastAsia together with Nijhuis and NX Filtration provided a Direct Nano Filtration solution to treat borehole water for Cabantian, Davao City, Phillipines. The unit is a plug & play package which is now in operation. The solution is part of a larger project of Davao City Water District to increase potable water availability for its consumers. High quality drinking water is produced in a single treatment step with specially implemented dNF membranes from NX Filtration.
About the Solution
The plug & play packed unit is based on continued operation. Borehole water is pumped towards and collected in a feed buffer tank. The unit is now being commissioned and will take raw water from this buffer tank and pump it to the nano filtration membranes.
The dNF membranes are positioned in combined parallel and serial configuration with low energy crossflow applied. A typical hydraulic recovery of 75 to 90% is expected.
